How is my "Power" calculated and why did it decrease?

Please be aware that upgrading your Player Building, Commander, Research, Unit, and Warcom will boost your power. Your power will increase if you upgrade all five. Power is volatile; meaning that losing units, having a town captured, demolishing buildings, and the like all reduce your Power total.
