Code of Conduct

Being a competitive war game, we completely recognize that light-hearted trash talk will always be part of the War of Nations experience. However, our goal is to have a competitive community free of racism, hate speech, bullying, personal threats, vulgarity, and other offensive content.

To help us achieve this goal, we regularly review player reports and take action on player behaviour that violates the spirit of the game.

Our community will abide by and hold each other accountable to our Code of Conduct outlined below. Those found violating our Code of Conduct risk having their chat privileges temporarily revoked. Repeat offenders risk losing chat privileges permanently. 

Chat

Public and Private chat will be free of:

• All racism, hate speech, and derogatory terms
• Directed insults and bullying
• Personal threats
• Vulgarity and sexual content
• Severe or repetitive swearing
• Manipulating the auto-filter to get any of the above through

Moderators will restrict chat privileges where conduct violations are found.

Names

Player and Alliance names will be free of:

• All racism, hate speech, and derogatory terms
• Directed insults and bullying
• Personal threats
• Vulgarity and sexual content
• Severe or repetitive swearing
• Manipulating the auto-filter to get any of the above through

Moderators will remove these names and restrict chat privileges where conduct violations are found.

Player and Alliance names may also be removed (without restricting chat privileges) if deemed disruptive. These include:

• Casual, mild swearing
• Political topics
• Intentional controversy
• Sensitive pop culture topics

Garden City Games Staff

The above conduct expectations also apply to your interactions with support or other staff. Conduct violations with staff also include:

• Bad faith reports or weaponization of the rules
• Bad faith arguments or manipulation
• Spamming support with tickets

Along with losing chat privileges, players may also lose support privileges for inappropriate conduct with staff. 

If you happen to encounter any of the above behaviour, please send us a report, and a moderator will happily investigate the situation for you. We also recommend that you take advantage of the Ignore feature in-game to silence those impacting your experience as soon as possible.
